For over 123 years Swanson Midgley has actively partnered in advancing community and clients’ interests.  Swanson Midgley continues those efforts by exploring the development, advancement and marketing of renewable energy alternatives.  James Freeman joined with hundreds of world renewable energy leaders at the Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition (RETECH 2009), hosted by the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), February 25-27.  ACORE was developed by the Departments of Defense and Energy to address national security concerns.

Michael Eckhart, President of ACORE stated, “A very senior level of attendees addressed the big questions and had a positive impact on the direction of the industry. ACORE is extremely pleased with this inaugural RETECH and the anticipated doubling of renewable energy in the U.S. within three years."

“The good news for the renewable energy industry is that the dog which has been chasing the car for 35 years—has caught the car,” announced Dan Reicher, Director of Climate Change and Energy Initiatives, Google, Inc. “It’s now up to us, the people here at RETECH, to make sure the stimulus dollars for renewable energy are spent well. This is some of the good that will come out of this conference.”

The conference explored the compelling economic and national security concerns raised by current energy consumption not only in the US and other developed nations, but also in developing nations, in addition to environmental concerns.  In addition, Mr. Freeman engaged in ongoing dialogue with individuals regarding development, financing, marketing and advancement of renewable energy technologies, including wind, hydro and geo-thermal.

Mr. Freeman is active in international alternative fuel and renewable energy projects and is currently working with a group developing a base load, dispatchable ocean energy technology company.  If you wish to explore alternative or renewable energy projects, please visit Mr. Freeman's bio or his LinkedIn profile or his Facebook profile.
