Swanson Midgley Attorney John J. Miller Wins $800K Award for Clients in Securities Arbitration Case

Attorney John J. Miller represented a couple against a Florida brokerage firm and investment broker in a securities arbitration case.  The broker had taken the retired couple’s life savings.  Recently, the couple was awarded $800,000 in the case, including an award of $400,000 in punitive damages. 

Over the past 22 years, John Miller has represented hundreds of clients in securities, commercial, and employment litigation and arbitration.  He also is an approved mediator under Rule 17 for Missouri state courts, and for the Federal District Courts of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri.  Mr. Miller serves as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the American Arbitration Association.  He has been recognized as a Superlawyer of Kansas and Missouri in Securities Litigation for three years.
