Career Overview: Dan has been a frequent lecturer on tax topics including entity level taxation and tax controversies. He has lectured before several state bar associations, as well as conducted continuing education classes for certified public accountants.

Experience Overview: Dan's practice consists of advising privately held companies with respect to various legal matters including mergers and acquisitions, the development and negotiation of numerous contract arrangements, structuring deferred compensation programs, drafting business formation documents and succession plans. Dan also does tax planning and tax controversy work, including individual and corporate tax audits and IRS appeals, as well as the defense of civil fraud prosecutions, estate planning for high net worth individuals, including counsel specific to charitable tax planning arrangements.

Education: Dan received his Juris Doctor Degree from the Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans in 1976, as well as his L.L.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law in 1977. He received his BSBA Degree majoring in Accounting from Rockhurst University in 1973.  Prior to entering law school, Dan was a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service.
